My Favorite of the Black and White Christmas Tags

This tag is about 4 x 6 inches.

Authentique Sentiment Cut-Apart Tag

Cut-aparts or card toppers, whatever you call it, that is what I used to make this tag.  Got to admit, I don't care for how it turned out.

The Authentique cut-apart as it originally was:

I cut off the border, rounded the bottom corners added glitter and gems.  And turned it into a tag itself, by adding a circle reinforcement and a cord at the top.

The tag is about 3 1/2 inches by 5 inches.

Angel Christmas Tag

This tag is about 4 x 6. 
   I made the tag base by cutting a 4 inch strip from the 12 inch cardstock, folding it in half, angling the top corners, punching a hole in top and using a curved corner punch on the bottom before gluing the two sides down together.

Christmas Tag

   This tag is about 2 x 4 inches.  It was made by cutting a 2 inch strip off the scrapbook paper, cutting it to 8 inches long and then folding it in half, angle the top edges and punch the hole.  I sandwiched some heavier cardstock between the two layers, before gluing it all down.

Happy Birthday, Jesus Tag

This tag measures about 3 x 5 inches.  It was made by cutting a 3 inch strip from a 12 inch sheet of scrapbook paper, folding it in half, cutting the extra length off, angling the edges. I cut another tag out of thicker paper to sandwich between the layers of this tag to make the whole thing sturdier.

Striped Black and White Christmas or Any Occasion Tag

This tag that I had made can really be used for any occasion, although I had made it with Christmas in mind.
   It measures approximately 4 x 6" and is made once again without dragging out any tag dies.  I simply cut a 4 inch strip the length of a 12" sheet of cardstock, folded it in half, angled the top, punched the hole, and glued the two sides down (they are attached at the fold on top).  I didn't do anything to the bottom edge because I usually like the bottom to be square when I use striped paper.

Black and White Christmas Tags

I wanted a couple flatter tags in black and white with Christmas gold.  These poinsettias at Hobby Lobby are relatively flat (for flowers) and they were crazy glittery, so I thought they would be perfect.

   The base for the tag is from my stash and unfortunately I don't remember who made it.  The main tag is about 4 x 6 inches and the to/from tag is about 2 x 4.  They were both made by cutting a strip from the 12 x 12" paper sheet, folding it in half (so the tag is sturdier and double sided) (the fold is on the top) and gluing the sides together, angling the top edges and punching the hole in the center.

Hallmark Christmas Tag

Hallmark makes some beautiful Christmas cards and I had a couple cards left from a year or so ago and decided to use the image on it to make another Christmas tag.
   The finished tag is about 4 x 6 inches and I made it by cutting a 4" wide strip off 12 inch cardstock, folded it in half, cut the angle at the top and punched the hole at the top and then curved the bottom corners using a punch (I had to use the punch before I glued the front and back down, so my punch would cut the thickness).  I used DecoArt's Metallic Lustre in Gold Rush to "ink" the edges.  The cardstock was from my stash and I don't remember who made it.  I used my Crop-a-dile from We Are Memory Keepers to punch the holes.  And to make the circle hole reinforcer, I punched a hole in the gold glitter paper with the Crop-a-dile, then lined my 1/2 EK Success hole punch over it to punch a little circle with a hole in the center.  I used the Zip Dry paper glue to add it to the tags. 
   Using the same process, I made a little 2 x 3 inch tag to use for the To/From.  Usually, I would use a piece of double sided tape and add some cardstock to write the To/From's on, but this cardstock has this lovely raised gold design that would make it impossible to write on smoothly, so that will have to be added later.

Felt Owl Gift Tags

While at Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago, I saw these cute felt owls in the Christmas section for the tiny trees.  I decided I wanted to make simple woodland Christmas tags with them to go with my woodland Christmas theme for my nephew.
   First I choose some cardstock from my stash (sorry, don't know who this paper is by) and made it into a tag.  I didn't die cut the tag I just folded the cardstock over (so the tag would be sturdier and double sided), cut angles at the top and punched a hole for the string.  Then I used my scalloped scissors to add the detail at the bottom of the tag; inked the edges with brown ink and had my simple base for my owl tags.  They are about 3 x 5 inches big. 
  Next, I went out into the yard and found a stick.  I cut it to length and added some fake snow.
Then it was time to add the owls.

Added a layered and inked banner under the branch (had to add a few gems to the banner -- it is for Christmas after all).  Made a paper bow with a die cut from The Stamps of Life by Stephanie Barnard Designs, inked it's edges and added it to the top.  Cut and inked some circles to use for the To and Froms.  Added a Holly sticker from Hobby Lobby. And tied it up with some bakers twine.

There were 6 owls in the pack, but I only made 4 tags like these and saved the other 2 owls for further inspiration.

Moss Ball

Using a cheap plastic christmas ball, I added hot glue to adhere reindeer moss all around it.  Then I wrapped twine around it and hot glued on a twine bow. 

I am not crazy about this one, so I only made the one for my nephew's woodland christmas tree.

Acorns

My sister picked up some red glittered acorn tops on clearance at Hobby Lobby and she gave me a package too.  I drilled a tiny hole in the top of the acorn top and used a needle and thread to add a jump ring for hanging, E6000 glue was used to add marbles, then I added a charm with the year on it.

Hopefully, I have a chance to make some plain acorn tops before too long.

Farmhouse Prayer Beads

20mm wood beads strung on string:

They are wood colored, although they look white here.  (The small strings have wood chips on the ends).

More Birds Nests

Took some of the Easter nests from Hobby Lobby and changed them to plainer nests. 

They also had a bag of tiny pastel eggs, so I bought some of the pre-made little nests, painted the eggs, added some moss and glued it together.
