Cold Cold Bears

This little bear by Whipper Snapper ended up being my most prolific bear of the season -- simply because I kept coloring him over and over again trying to get the fur right.  I never did manage getting his fur exactly as I envisioned it, but had lots of bears to use for cards!

They went out to Ann and Carl, Tony and several others:

A Bear -- In the Air

The Clean and Simple Challenge this week over at Outlawz is "Something In The Air."  I just love how their challenges leave so much room for interpretation and creativity!  Don't you?

For this challenge I decided to use an oldie, but goodie stamp by Rubber Stampede.  The image is tiny, so it took me no time at all to color it up 3 times, cut it out and layer it up onto the card.  I added some blue and dots to the plain white card base where I wanted the bear to be floating, threaded a piece of embroidery floss from the red balloon to the bears hand, stamped/embossed the sentiment and matted it all onto the 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 card base.

Here's a pic taken "down into it" so the layers show:

There's snow in the air here.  What about where you are?

Baby Bear

Brrrr.  It took me almost an hour to get home from work today, it is snowing and blowing making the roads slick and visibility almost zero at times.  Fortunately, drivers are being wise and driving slow; the down side is there were still plenty of people sliding off (twice I had to try to get over for emergency vehicles).  Anyway, it sure feels good to be in a safe comfortable spot -- here in front of my computer.
Baby cards are really not my thing, so I wasn't planning on even trying to make a card for a co-worker's shower -- but then I woke up early yesterday and decided to at least give it a try.  The colors for the shower are the traditional blue and pink, so I ran the pink Bazzill cardstock through the Cuttlebug in one of their dots embossing folders and matted it on blue cardstock.  Added a blue cardstock strip and some ribbon and a bow, then added some pearls from the bridal aisle at Hobby Lobby.  Last I added a tiny wood bear, that had been in my stash for ages.  That's it -- quick, clean and simple.

Drive Safe!

Gift Cards

There I was with nary a gift card to slip inside my package, so it was to the crafting table with me...

Made a few for my stash, too:

Figured I might as well do a Christmas tag while I was at it:

Get Well Soon

Thank You, Anita, two

Card made with another wonderful Anita Be Stampin' stamp.

Thank You Anita

Anita of "Anita Be Stampin'" was kind enough to have a drawing to win some of her lovely stamps. I was lucky enough to win. These are wonderful stamps or fine quality red rubber.

Cindy

I can't brag about this card -- it didn't turn out exactly as I had hoped. But I do love the simple teddy girl image from Cindy Trombley's Painting on Jars.

Thanks Girly Bear

Here's a UK Crafts teddy bear decoupage topper on a Thank you card.
It takes all of 5 minutes to make a little card with these adorable punch out decoupage toppers, but they do make a big impact.
