This is so unlike me, but here I am posting a picture of some of my holiday baking. The apple cake is the baked good that is making my stomach growl, but the cookies look better in a picture!
The peanut butter cookies are nothing spectacular (they have a consistency much like a snickerdoodle). I've been looking for the perfect peanut butter cookie recipe (crunchy edges and soft center), so if you have a good recipe to share -- Please, Do!!
Here is a picture of what my granddaughter considers the perfect chocolate chip cookie -- with grated Hershey bars and chocolate chips (and oatmeal ground into a flour) they are more work than your average run of the mill cookie, but they are good. My favorite cookies are the old-fashioned oatmeal-raisin that my Grandmother used to make! For some reason the rest of the family didn't think that it would be safe for me to be in charge of making them for the BIG day. Hah. Imagine that!
