The image for this card is "Sassy Sally Sits In Wonder" from Sassy Cheryl Digis. The sentiment is from Impression Obsession. She is colored using Copics -- with my new favorite hair color combo: E49, E47, E31. Tomorrow, she goes in the mail to Denise; today I hope to enter her in the "Thinking of You" Challenge at Sassy Cheryl's.

Micro New
This image is "Noah, Tweety and Waldo" and "Sassy Sally Plays A Trick" by Sassy Cheryl's Digis. I colored it with Copics. Used flocking on the hats. And tons of glitter on the snowman (which made the whole card not photograph well, because of the flash from the camera -- but it is raining outside, so I had no other choice). For my "try something new," I used micro beads for the snow on the ground. I like the beads, but I think I should break them up next time with some lines in the snow. The sentiment is from Impression Obsession. This card is going to BreAnn. Thank you, BreAnn! You are such a honey!
A Sassy Resolution -- Try New Things
One of my New Year's Crafting resolutions is to Try New Things. Well, one of the things that I have been wanting to do is to merge some digis together to make new images or scenes. What always stopped me was that I have no patience! Oh, come on, I find lasso-ing and layering in Photoshop boring, nothing against people who do enjoy it -- I am just not one of them. So, thank heavens for Cheryl Alger of Sassy Cheryl Digis. Almost all of the newer Sassy Cheryl digis are done in such a way that they can be easily merged in Word. Click. Click. New image. I don't know how Cheryl does it, but I am sure glad she does!
Here is my first (of I know will be many) merged Sassy Cheryl images:
I used "Winter Birds In the Trees" and "Noah Tweety and Waldo" merged together. Colored them with Copics. Added flocking to the fur on the hat and the stripes on the scarf. And used Stickles on the trees and the snow and added some Flower Soft to the snow on the ground. Buttons, patterned paper and cardstock were all I used on the card. This card will be going out to Rick, but also, in keeping with my New Year's resolution I am going to enter it into the Sassy Cheryl Challenge. Thank you, Cheryl Alger!!

Resolutions 2013
My crafting resolutions for the New Year.
1). Finally, start buying some more of the Copics I have been wanting!
2). Make an occasional birthday card.
3). Do a better job of remembering to take pictures of the cards I make.
4). Post all cards here in my blogging journal, so I can learn from failures and successes alike.
And 5). Try new things.
And 6). Remember to do 1 through 5.

Tri-Shutter Clip Art Valentine's for Pals 2012
First is the red velvet card. Acetate was used to print the sentiment out on as I found it was hard if not impossible to emboss red velvet. I didn't have a black heart brad, so I did emboss the brad.
Rose stickers were used in the small panels of this card to mimic the roses that cupid was carrying.

Who is this Stamp By? St. Patrick's Day 2012
Agghh! I remember this about making the St. Patrick's Day cards: The cards were all colored, the last step before putting them together was to make one or two of the shamrocks glossy. Instead of using liquid glass, since the area was so small,I grabbed a glaze pen. Except it wasn't the glaze pen, it was white gel. Ruined every one of my colored St. Patty images. I tried to save them by putting glitter over the top on the white gel. Not the look I was going for, but at least I could use them. Moral of the story: Look before you leap.
