2014 Valentines

I wish I had time to make everyone a Valentine, but as always the list is long and time is short.  Here's what I did get made:

High Hopes New Year's Cards Sent to Pals 2012

There is exactly one New Year's themed stamp in my stamp collection. This one from High Hopes. The image and embossed metallic paper made these little 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 cards. Each piece of metallic paper is a different color. One was done a little differently:

High Hopes for Christmas

This little High Hopes image was colored up with Copics for Leslie, Keith, Don F., and Maria R. The embellishment was made with a Limited Edition Holiday Interactive Circles stamp set. I'm looking forward to getting more Copics in different shades of red to see if I can improve my coloring of dear Santa's suits for next year's cards.

Santa's Best Friend

This little High Hopes stamp was colored with Copics. The sentiment from Stamp Affair is heat embossed. The embellishment is from K & Co. The papers from Bazzill, K & Co. and The Paper Studio. It went out to Helen, Niamh, and Bill.

For Casey and Catherine and their 4 children, the same card was done with plenty of "jewels" for the embellishment. The embellishment choice was made by my two grandchildren, who really believe in their bling.

Cleaning Pumpkins

I was cleaning a bit in the craft room, when I found this stamped image -- tucked exactly where it shouldn't be. Naturally, I was forced to stop cleaning and make it into a card (well, really, what would you have done?). It seemed a little strange to be making a fall card in the middle of June, but if I didn't make it into a card -- I would probably still be stuck cleaning!

Does Macy's carry this dress?

Here was the challenge:

- 20 minutes from start to finish
- Main image must be stamped straight onto the card
- May use punches, but not the Cuttlebug (or Cricuit, if I had one)
- A sheet of card stock can be used, other than the card itself, but no patterned papers
- No coloring the image in with any medium
- One embellishment of choice can be used
- Any sentiment stamp may be used, or the sentiment may be generated on the computer
And the really hard one:
- She picks the "category" of the stamp used, (but fortunately not the exact stamp)

The category chosen was: fashion

Here's what I came up with:

The dress is from Rubbernecker, the sentiment from High Hopes. The dress and sentiment are heat embossed with Ranger's embossing powder (Well, she didn't say I couldn't use embossing powder. So, all is fair there.)

Cats Rule Dogs Drool

These were my entries to the Cats Rule Dogs Drool Challenge at Anything Goes on Paper Craft Planet. The dog image is from High Hopes. The cat image is from Victoria Case. They are both colored with pencils.
