H & S Valentines for Two

It's snowing again, or should I say "still?"  It seems this winter has been nothing but one big snow/ice storm.  Which has made it one of the prettiest winters that we have had in a while.  But, jesh, I just got the driveway scooped from the last accumulation -- oh, well.

Here are the Valentine's that I have been coloring up in between trips outside to scoop the snow off:

For Aunt Troy which features a sentiment by Stampin' Up:

Hanglar and Stanglar

And for Cousin Bill (the sentiment is from Anita Be Stampin'):

A Gaming B-day

My grandson loves his video games, so when I saw this digi at The Paper Shelter I had to buy it for his b-day card.  It is hard to believe that he will be 9 soon!  Since this is a new digi, I'm going to use it to enter the Alcohol Marker Challenge at Outlawz -- the topic of which is "Something New."

Grade 1

Card for my favorite boy, starting 1st grade in a couple weeks:

The chalkboard is simply a black piece of card stock framed out with red strips. I used my best left handed printing on it, using a white gel pen. The piece of chalk is a rolled up piece of white paper.

Thank you to our Troops

Usually, I hit the after Independence Day sales to buy crafting items to make my cards for Operation Write Home. This year the clearance racks were filled with 4th of July glitter and shine -- not actually appropriate for our troops overseas. So, that thrifty bit of inspiration was not going to work this year. What am I going to do? Well, Rick St. Dennis left some cute little digi art at the Operation Write Home site and I used his Uncle Sam to start my card making this year.

This year I decided to make my cards in batches of 8, so I have 7 more of these to go. I don't think I am happy with the die cut "Thank You" and I think I will use a stamp and blue embossing on the rest of the cards.

Boy with Flowers For You

This image was given to me during a swap at the Anything Goes group on Paper Craft Planet. I was quite pleased with the way this little card turned out.

Independence Parade

Finished 26 of these little July 4th greetings just in time to get in the mail for the holiday. Next year, I gotta find an image without a flag in it -- that was a bear to color 26 of those beauties.

Labor Day

Finally, I am getting my Labor Day card posted. This cute little "chillaxin'" image is by Victoria Case. Paper piecing and Copic markers were used to make this feller one of my favorite cards ever. 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.

"Victory" is 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
"Game On" is 5" x 7"
