To Be At The Beach

The weather outside is still frightful -- blowing snow, slick roads, temps in the single digits (and not always on the positive side).   We have had very few sunny days this winter; it seems to be affecting my outlook, because the beach card that I made for my cousin has the feel of a beach during a thunderstorm.  Totally, not intentional, but the psychology of card making knows what it knows.  It doesn't help that the picture isn't very good -- forgot to get any whites and gray tones in the shot, so it adjusted the color automatically and wrong.

A cheerful beach scene obviously is beyond my powers today, but when I pulled out my little envelope of beachy stuff, I found some Jolee's stickers that I had forgotten about.  Don't you just love it when you find a hidden surprise like that?  I ripped up 3 different colors of glitter paper, inked the edges and added some of the stickers.   I couldn't find a sentiment stamp for this card, which is probably for the best since this type glitter paper doesn't take ink well.  Here's my much happier under-water card.
