Micro New

This image is "Noah, Tweety and Waldo" and "Sassy Sally Plays A Trick" by Sassy Cheryl's Digis. I colored it with Copics. Used flocking on the hats. And tons of glitter on the snowman (which made the whole card not photograph well, because of the flash from the camera -- but it is raining outside, so I had no other choice). For my "try something new," I used micro beads for the snow on the ground. I like the beads, but I think I should break them up next time with some lines in the snow. The sentiment is from Impression Obsession. This card is going to BreAnn. Thank you, BreAnn! You are such a honey!

A Very Sassy Season

Candy Cane Sally by Sassy Cheryl is the image for this little card for Jenny. The image was colored with Copics. The embellishments were made with stamps and dies from Heartfelt Creations using Walnut colored embossing powder and a little Walnut ink (a few brown leaves were added using a Martha Stewart punch). The verse is by Stamp Affair and is also done in Walnut embossing powder. I used only card stock, no patterned papers, but the back panel was embossed with an embossing folder and my trusty Cuttlebug.
Candy Cane Sally was also used for this card for Cathy R. The embellishment is from Hobby Lobby - a pre-flocked and glittered plastic snowflake. The papers are from DCWV.
And again, Candy Cane Sally in blue for Cathy Maynard. The embellishment on this one is from K & Co.
A deeper blue for Tammy M:
Lucy Lou Plays Christmas Tree Dress-Up was used for cards for Maria R. and Theresa G:

A Wet Christmas

This card for Vicky was not meant for the washing machine, mud puddles or rain. It is after all paper. Unfortunately, our mail service providers thought otherwise. Wet though it might have been -- I'm still wishing HAPPY HOLIDAYS to Vicky!

Halloween Cards 2012

Obviously I'm addicted to Sassy Cheryl still. I wonder if there is an intervention coming... For Cathy:
The bats on this card for Bill are epoxy stickers:
For Claudia, I added glitter to a K & Co. border and layered it on ribbon:
Krylon spray webbing was used on plain Bazzill cardstock and simple metallic embroidery floss was tied around the front panel on this card for Helen:
For Josie, bright colors and buttons:
For Mel more epoxy stickers (I added stars with the bats this time):
I bought a package of pre-folded bases, labeled as bi-folds. They were bi-folds, but not at all what I expected, so it took a lot of thought to make this card for Trina:
Bridget sent me a pack of Rockstar Stack Mats for my birthday one year (along with a bunch of other goodies) and it was those papers that I used for her little card:
For little pre-schooler Josh:
For Mary G:
For Darchelle:
For Cathie, a crafter extraordinaire, whose inspiration and exuberance I will miss!:
For Terrie, who recently was blessed with a new granddaughter, I used the same Karen's Doodles image that I used on the card for my great-niece:
I wish I hadn't loaned out my "Happy Halloween" sentiment stamps before I made this card for Shauna or would have at least put the rub-on that I did use on white cardstock instead of straight onto the background paper. And I wonder if there is a you-tube video on how to color garlic?! Anyway, my first try at using my new House Mouse stamp:
And that was it, time ran out for making Halloween cards. What's next?

Autumn Cards

Here are the fall cards that I sent: For Cindy (of-course it's a Sassy Cheryl):
For Diana (another Sassy Cheryl);
Yet another Sassy Cheryl for Bill:
Sassy Cheryl for Vicky:
And wait you guessed it, another Sassy Cheryl, this time for Brinda:
And finally one from Serendipity for Anne:

Two Sassy Cheryl's

To continue my effort to post a picture of every card I've made here are two more from Sassy Cheryl. This first one went to Claudia:
And this second one was mailed back in August to Petra. Again, I think that her mail handlers are screening her mail, because I don't think she ever received this one, either.

Halloween All Ready?

Halloween is NOT a favorite holiday of mine. Oh, I love fall, but Halloween, not so much. There is one part of Halloween that I like (o.k two parts, but I mean besides the obvious one of the candy) and that is the wonderful images that are available for cards and scrapbooking. No matter what, THEY are terrific. For Amelia:
The back ground paper was sprayed with Krylon Webbing. (Don't you love that stuff?!) And here's the card I made for Carson:
Have you started making Halloween cards yet?

Lady Bug, Lady Bug Fly Away Home

Happy Weekend, all!! This Sassy Cheryl image, Callie and her Ladybug Friends is on it's way to a friend who just finished moving.
It seems I go through spells of having a favorite image to color. So, I use it again and again -- until I find a new favorite. Callie and her Ladybug Friends was also used for this card. With more to come...
